Anyone who has played the Original/Classic Stratego game will be very familiar with the pieces and rules of Stratego Duel. This is because the rules are exactly the same as the Original/Classic Stratego. The only physical difference is the number of pieces played on the board. In the Original game there are 40 pieces each, in Duel there are 10 pieces each. Each players starts with 1 marshal, 1 general, 2 miners, 2 scouts, 2 bombs, 1 spy and 1 flag.
Tournament Format
Swiss Pairings
Rounds - 10
Setup Time - 2 mins
Time Control - 2 mins + 3 secs per move (Bronstein)
Max Game Duration - 10 mins
Tournament Scoring - Players will receive 6VPs for a win, 3VPs for a draw and 1VP for a loss.
The first tie-break will be a play-off to a maximum of 3 games per player (providing there is time at the Arbiters discretion). If that is not possible, or does not provide a result, then usual MSO tie-breaks apply
