Description

Cities&Knights is an expansion of the popular Settlers of Catan game. Whilst many of the basic rules remain unchanged new gameplay features are introduced with new resources, improvements and knight units to protect the island from barbarian invaders.

Tournament Format
Players Per Table – 4
Rounds – 3

Victory Points scored in the game (up to 13) count towards your tournament score, with the winner from each table getting two bonus victory points. The winner is the player who accumulates the most Tournament Points throughout the event.

We will play with a tournament rule to re-roll 7’s until all players have played two turns (this is half of the “easy start” variant described within the rulebook, however note that we will still move the barbarian ship). This rule is necessary from the perspective of the organisers, as without this rule the chance of all players losing their starting city is increased which results in longer games and the tournament overrunning.
