30th Mind Sports Olympiad – 22nd August to 30th August 2026
The Mind Sports Olympiad returns this August at our new 2026 venue, The Mercure Hotel, Earls Court, London, SW6 1UD.
Registration is now open. Some tournaments have limited capacity, so we recommend booking in advance to secure your place.
Choose from a huge variety of tournaments, including chess, backgammon, poker, Catan, Scrabble, Ticket to Ride, Carcassonne, Sudoku puzzles, abstract strategy games and many more.
Whether you’re a regular MSO competitor or joining us for the first time, you’re very welcome. Scroll down to choose your events and register.

We have partnered with a couple of organisations, for which registration for events run by them should be booked separately:
- FIDE Chess Events (Saturday 22nd – Sunday 23rd).
- UK Backgammon Federation (Monday 24th – Sunday 30th).
If you change your mind after booking, you may switch to another event taking place in the same session free of charge, provided space is available. Please contact us and we will arrange this for you.
Helpers and volunteers receive automatic and free entry to events they are assisting with. If you are a regular MSO player, but have financial difficulties, please contact us to explore alternative discounts.
There are medals to be won for all events, including Junior medals, with cash prizes available on some events, see Prize Money for a full list.
